Jacob's Star Wars Party

**This is a looong post! Sorry! This is also my last post for a good while. I'm taking a break from posting and may or may not start up again. Thank you all for tuning in to see what we've been up to. I'll still be sharing updates on Instagram and Facebook, so I'll see you there!**

So here's how my little Star Wars fan enjoyed his 5th birthday! :

I made a "galaxy wall" with black bulletin board paper and some paper lantern planets.

I thought this was a cute idea to have him stand on a stool and take some pictures with his light saber. I think they turned out great!

The FOOD:

Jacob helped me make these adorable light saber napkins. I found these plates at Five Below.

We had fruit light saver skewers, Hoth dogs, Death Star Crispies, Han's Rolos.

This was my favorite idea. Carbonite Jelly made out of Jolly Rancher Green Apple Jello.

Whats a mom to do when the kids don't own a Han Solo figure? Spend $9.99 on one at Warlmart?
Nope.
Find one online, print it, and laminate hit?
Yup, its cheap :)

Make a wish son! I really love his smile here. Its so genuine and you can see how happy he is. All of the prep work is worth this smile :)

GAMES: Jedi training!
The kids practiced their blaster skills by using their Nerf guns to take down the bad guys.

Then they moved on to shoot Storm troppers and Imperial Guards.

The kids got their very own light sabers (made by the hubs) to attack Darth Vader (aka black balloons).

A lot of the balloons were popping, so we brought out some white ones from our stash.

Next up: Clone trooper VS. Yoda Freeze Tag!

Death Star Hot Potato

Mimi had Luke crackin up!

Mrs. Samantha found his awesome Star Wars Lego watch with a Darth Vader mini figure. You've gotta have some bad guys in your set to make playing more fun :)

BYE EVERYONE! Love to you all!

Jacob turns 5

My sweet, second born turned FIVE last week! I feel like he's growing up so much and I wanted to jot down a few things that I want to remember when I look back years from now.

First of all, when I think of Jacob my immediate thought it his amazing smile. That precious dimple he has on the left side of his cheek makes me melt!

5 year old observations:
- Can write his name and some small words
- Can read some small sentences
- Definitely has athletic abilities
- Notices girls with long hair
- Enjoys ANYTHING star wars and talks non-stop about it
- Has a soft heart for others less fortunate than him
- Loves soccer and baseball
- Adventurous with food
-Weighs himself almost daily to see if he's catching up with Caleb
-Wants to marry Mommy

Legos are a big part of his life. He.cant.get.enough.

Right now,  one of his loves is Camo clothing. He saw this is the store and pulled out his little dimpled smile, and I caved :)

One of his favorite outside pasttimes is finding frogs, holding frogs, giggling about frogs, thinking about frogs... The boys caught a HUGE frog one evening and put him in this planter. As soon as I took this picture, it leaped out and I screamed :)

He's so gentle with Luke and is usually looking out for him in various ways. He watches to make sure Luke's food isn't too big, that he doesn't have a small lego in his hand/mouth, etc. If Luke's sad, he'll give him precious Monkey to hold.

He really thinks Caleb is awesome. He always wants to be involved in big brother's school activities and is usually thinking of ways to play with him when Caleb comes home from school.

He's a great big helper at home too. He can fold some laundry, sweeps, vacuums, dusts, and cleans toilets. Amen!

And here he is starting his last first day of Preschool today!

Sporting his new back pack from the Grandparents.

One of the greatest things we've noticed about Jacob is his heart of generosity. Out of the blue, he'll take money out of his piggy bank and leave coins on our dresser just because (and insists that we take it). He likes to put extra in Caleb's wallet too. Also, just the other week he took one of his hot wheel cars and brought it to a restaurant for another little boy to have. When we walked in, he spent several minutes scaling the room, found a boy his age and walked up to him and gave him the car. This spurs this Mama's heart to be generous with the things God blesses me with and I hope it will spur you on too.

Georgia Aquarium

The last day of our Atlanta trip we spent at the Aquarium. This aquarium is the largest in the world with more than 100,000 animals from all over the globe! There's even a 4-D theater and live shows with scuba divers to answer all your questions. (I think I should get paid for my advertising here, right?!)

Feeding of the fish time!

This walkway was amazing. All the sharks, sting rays, fish of different varieties all above your head!

All this little one wanted to do was run. He was very squirmy this day and had a one track mind: Put me down and let me roam.

Can you spot his little body in the middle?

 Nana showing him the fishies.

Look at these beauties.

Legoland

We all headed to Legoland during our vacation and we all enjoyed it; even the adults! It was all well organized and so interesting to see all of their lego creations. We must go back again.

There was even a room dedicated to Star Wars !

This downtown city construction was amazing!

Baby lego blocks. After he played with these for a while he started throwing them as far as he could. Ha!

The boys make cars to race down the track.

The boys made this creation without instructions. They worked on it (with Daddy's help) to replicate a model that was already made and they did a great job!

We are about to head into the 4-D movie!

I thought this picture was interesting. You can see Nana taking our picture in the glass reflection as Caleb and I are on a ride.

Playing with legos is a tiring job!
