Caleb and I went to the State Fair last Friday with Mimi, Laura Leigh (sister-in-law) and Josiah, my nephew. Laura Leigh and Josiah were in town for a visit from Alabama, so the day at the fair was extra special! This was also Caleb's first fair, so documenting it with a few pictures was only fitting :)
The Mamas and the boys
We headed over to the pig race, which was something I have never seen before at the fair. It was so crowded, so I dont know how I missed it in past years. It was quite interesting.
Caleb wasn't all to impressed with it. Who needs a pig race when I can watch Mama make silly faces at me?
Apparently Josiah agreed with Caleb. It was a good time for a nap.
But here's where he feels home! He looks like such a big boy on the tractor.
Of course, we had to sample the food. The corn on the cob was outstanding. Another fair item I have never experienced. We also sampled fried cookie dough and fried snickers. The corn wins hands down.
"Can I have your corn Mama?"
Isn't Laura Leigh sweet to share some of her funnel cake?
"Must...taste....whatever that is...."
Here are a couple of shots of him enjoying his first fair!
As we were about to leave, Josiah wanted to give his cousin a goodbye hug. Such a sweet boy. How cute is this!?
