This Sunday we celebrated Caleb's first birthday! Granddaddy Moseley, Mimi and Aunt Anna came as well as Granddaddy Pearce, Nana, and Uncle Steven to party with us. We wanted to do something simple, so it was a small family gathering. We had cake and ice cream and opened presents afterwards. Yay! Caleb could tell we were so proud of him eating his cake that he clapped :)
At first, Caleb wasn't sure what to do. He started picking off the green icing around the cake, then the balloons. We cut a piece for him to try and then he got interested in the actual cake part. Mimi mentioned Granddaddy getting a piece of cake and Caleb responded with a shake of the head :)
"Daddy, I think you need some cake on your face too."
