Caleb turned 18 months old on the 14th. In honor of this milestone, I took a couple of pictures in Caleb's new rocking chair at Nana and Granddaddy's house. Doesn't he look so big?!
18 month stats:
Weight: 26 lbs. (50%)
Height: 34 in. (90%)
Head circ: 48 cm (50%)
Notice baby bear. We have moved on (for the most part) from holding a diaper cloth to holding a bear for comfort - which I am more ok with. I'm just glad he's not attached to his other bears that are just as big as he is!
Caleb is a happy, fun little boy who has lots of energy. He has his moments of fussiness and disobedience, but in general, he is a delight. He's still doing well with Jacob and is a great big brother so far. We couldn't be more thankful.
A few highlights of Caleb right now:
He loves to play outside. He's a little shy when it comes to playgrounds and finds it more appealing to watch the big kids play.
He still enjoys anything electronic, lights switches, doors, and cars/trucks.
He cleans up after himself quite a bit and doesn't like to get dirty. The other day I caught him cleaning his hands and the kitchen table with a napkin and then cleaned his sippy cup after milk had spilled. I think I will encourage this :)
He's eating pretty well, but can be picky if its a new food he's not used to. Some of his favorites are peas, bread, fruit, peanut butter and jelly, and chicken nuggets.
His vocabulary is still climbing. Some of his new words lately are cracker, on, off, boy, girl, okay, snack, and car. He'll usually try to repeat a new word if you ask him to (even if it doesn't sound like the word). Ex. "Caleb, can you you say grape?", "daa?"
Knows alot of his body parts and likes to point out the boys and girls in books and can usually get the gender correct. He still loves to read.
He's sleeping 12 hours at night and is taking 1-2 naps during the day.
One new love: Music. He asks for it in the car and at home daily. He'll sing along too. Above is a picture of Nana and Caleb singing "Ring around the Rosie".
Here are a couple videos I found on my camera of him lately.
