Lately we've been incorporating some positive reinforcements in our parenting the boys. Once they achieve their behavioral goal, we reward a star sticker on their chart. Once all the stars have been collected they get a prize. So simple and it worked!
The behaviors we've been working on lately are: 1) being able to go to bed without lots of talking/laughing (they are in the same room on bunk beds), 2) Saying yes sir and yes ma'am for Caleb, and 3) for Jacob to not become upset when we leave him in church nursery/VBS. Once they completed their chart with stars, they each got to pick out a toy of their choice AND go to a fun place as a family.
The fun place was Monkey Joes!
Their hard work paid off and we are so proud of them!
