Our new laundry room

Our big summer project is complete and here are some photos to share all the hard work David put into making it a room I can enjoy!

My favorite part of this room is definitely the counter space. We decided to go the wood route instead of spending too much money on butcher block, granite, marble, or Formica.

I'm also in love with the bead board too! Its inexpensive and adds some interest, while keeping the fresh and clean feeling white can bring to a room.

I found this print on Etsy for five dollars and painted a raw, wooden frame I found at Michael's for cheap. I had the flower in the print color-matched so that made finding the perfect blue very easy.

I found a print like my version on Etsy for $18 and was not excited to pay such a hefty price for something I could make myself. I made this on Microsoft Word and it only cost me a couple of bucks to print. I already had this IKEA frame on hand, score!

David sanded and stained this wood sign for me to corral all of our missing socks.

I found this stool at Home Goods so that I'm able to reach the very top shelf of our cabinets. It's easily hidden in this space beside the washer, so its not really in full view.

We hung the ironing board behind the door and I forget its even there. To be honest, I really don't iron much at all, so that's a great place for it to be! Ha!

Space for any coins in pockets and extra clothes pins.

As soon as I saw this wastebasket in the store, it came home with me. Also, my friend Sam and I found this rug at Target for a great price and matched the room perfectly.

After I finish folding laundry, I use the gray and white basket to carry clothes to each room. I'm enjoying how organized it is and how all the clutter is hidden behind the cabinet doors. Ahh! I love how it all turned out!
