Jacob turns 6 months

He's already half a year old! We are so thankful for this little boy!

Here are his 6 month stats:

Weight: 18 lbs. 6 oz (50% - 75%)

Height: 26 3/4 inches (50% - 75%)

Head: 42 1/4 cm (10%)

He's still smiling a lot. Daddy gets a smile just by looking at him. He really enjoys just being near Daddy. He's also squealing a lot and has gotten into making new noises with his mouth and tongue.


He just started saying "Da-da" a few times last night and again this morning. Here's a video of him babbling away this morning. Last night was hilarious - every time I said Dada back to him he laughed so hard.

Jacob is taking 2 naps and one cat nap during the day and is sleeping 10 - 11 hours at night. I love it when I go in to pick him up in the mornings and he gives me the biggest smile and squeals with excitement to see me.

And he's sitting up! He's still wobbly, but if he's got something interesting in front of him, he can sit up for a while. The boys have been playing a lot more together these days and its been neat to watch them interact.

Of course, Jacob still hasn't learned to read!

Just the other night, Jacob and Caleb were playing on the floor together and started laughing with each other. I treasure these moments!

Jacob's being doing well with his baby food. So far we've tried rice cereal, oatmeal, squash, and peas and he's eating solids once a day at his supper feeding.

Such a sweet, toothless smile!
