Jacob turns 8 months old

Jacob turned 8 months old a week ago.

No crawling as of yet, but he scoots a lot. He will kick his legs while sitting up and will do a full 360 turn. We've also seen him get up on all fours some and is very interested in trying to grab things just out of his reach, so we'll see!

He recently began making an "ok" sign with is right hand. We didn't teach him that, but seems to enjoy doing it and it's pretty cute. As of yesterday, he started clapping with both hands open and he's beginning to mimic us when we do it first. Here's a video of his new clapping skills.

 He's still a toothless little boy.

He's sleeping beautifully. He's still a great napper and is sleeping 12 hours at night. He almost always wakes up happy.

He's enjoying his solids and is eating them 3 times per day now. Some new foods we've added to his menu are whole wheat bread and cheese. He still has his same favorites: applesauce, peaches, and squash.

Favorite pasttime other than eating and sleeping: being with big brother.
