I cant believe he's already 3/4 of the way to being one. It's incredible how time flies when you have two. And good thing I'm writing about how he's growing because I'd never remember a few years from now!
He's still such the happy, smiley and easy going little boy. He's content just playing by himself and also has a big brother to entertain him. Just the other day at his doctor visit, Caleb had him cracking up when the Pediatrician was trying to examine him. He's always trying to see what big brother is up to.
Here are his 9 month stats:
Weight: 20 lbs 12oz. (56%)
Height: 28 inches (40%)
Head circ: 43.6 cm. (10%)
Also, his first tooth (bottom left) is making its way through!
- He's much more mobile these days, but isn't crawling yet. He'd rather scoot on his bottom to his destination (which of course means he's not getting very far). A few times he's gone all the way and lunged forward to land on his belly if there's a toy he's really into.
-As of this month, he's aware of strangers and unfamiliar places. He'll poke out his bottom lip if he's not sure who's holding him, but usually doesn't cry.
- He's still clapping quite a bit and combining more vowels and consonants. He's added Na-na-na-na and Ma-ma-ma-ma, and is still saying da-da frequently. He loves playing peekaboo and dances to music or singing. He really enjoys Bible time at home and will clap and sway when Caleb and I sing together.
- He's still doing an excellent job of sleeping. He's taking 2 daytime naps and is sleeping around 12 hours at night.
- We've added pasta (he enjoys spaghetti and cheese) and yogurt. He's very cautious of anything cold, but will accept it in the form of applesauce and yogurt. He's not a big fan of the more sour fruits in table food form (i.e. blueberries, kiwi) and still enjoys eating bread and yellow veggies.
- He started being able to stand for a couple of minutes at a time holding onto something. He loves playing with this push toy, but needs help to get into this position.
Here's the big boy showing you his standing skills. He's so proud and so are we!
Wow! We had such fun this weekend!
