"Say what?!! Homemade ice cream in 15 minutes? I dont believe it." Well that's what I said until I tried it. While Daddy was at work, Caleb was at school, and Luke was taking a nap, Jacob and I decided to give it a whirl! Here's the link where we got the idea:
Here's what you'll need: whole milk, cream, salt, sugar, vanilla extract, sprinkles, large freezer bag, smaller bag, and gloves.
Begin by pouring a 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of cream in your bowl. Then add 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract.
Carefully pour the mixture in the smaller plastic bag and seal tightly!
Fill your large bag with at least 4 cups of ice.
Add a generous amount of salt to the ice.
Then place the smaller bag into the larger bag and seal.
Here's where the gloves come in. Don your gloves then shake the bag for 5 - 10 minutes. Shake, shake, shake!
