Three quarters of a year old. Hard to believe. This month has been filled with moving, moving, and more moving. Its been busy, but so much fun. I'm really enjoying this new stage we're in with him. Its so sweet to have him follow us around the house, or come find me in the kitchen, or even sit at the door of our bedroom when David's studying. He knows Dada is in there and wants to play. So precious.
Its also been a time that we have initiated discipline for the first time. So far he has been very obedient to the "off limits" areas in the apartment along with the new addition of the Christmas tree. So far, so good.
9 month old facts:
- Just as of this past week: We think he's signing for "more" during mealtimes and is waving bye bye. He loved to wave bye bye to Mama Jo. He's also started clapping, but in his own Caleb way, by hitting his right fist with his left opened hand.
- Eating solids 3 times per day. New foods for this month are prunes, apricots, chicken, cheerios, cheese, and bread. He's able to feed himself the cheerios and puffs and can pick them up using his pincer grasp. He's a fan of all the above except chicken.
- Taking 2 naps during the day and sleeping from 8pm - 8 am.
- He is able to go from a crawling position to sitting down. When he stands he likes to only hold on with one hand.
New favorite game: He shakes his head "no" all the time. We can get him to do it on que when we do it or when he hears the song "Twinkle Twinkle
Little Star" (I have it on video!).
This is the typical face of our 9 month old.
He looks like a little man here.
So precious is right!!!
