David's Chile Trip - Days 1-4

As I mentioned in an earlier blog post, David went on a visionary trip to Chile last week. The trip was to meet with missionary leaders on the field and see some of the evangelical work that is going on. All this is with the prospect of TCC cooperating with these works in the future.

Saying goodbye to David for a week was hard, but it helped that he could call me several times on the trip so that I could hear his voice, and Caleb got a chance to hear Daddy on the phone as well.

A Catholic church that commemorates the resting-place of one of Chile's most revered Catholic saints - Teresa de los Andes. It also serves as a pilgrimage location for many.

Paulina was kind enough to give us a tour of her family's tobacco farming operation.

We were also able to tour some schools where our hosting missionaries wanted to establish contacts for future work.

These shots are looking down on the valley town of Paihauno from a cross that had been placed at the top of a ridge to look over and protect the people and their livelyhood.
