Ahhh! Luke is already 11 months old! It really doesn't seem like its beenalmost a year since I first held him in my arms.
I must tell you the EASIEST way to get Luke to smile 99.99999% of the time is to start chewing gum and blow bubbles. He lights up like a kid on Christmas morning!
Sleeping: Going super great! He's taking 2 naps during the day and sleeps all night. He's completely OFF his helmet and we have had zero issues with him adjusting to that and sleeps great without it. We were told that he would probably need a few weeks to adjust to being helmetless, but not with this kid. He said "good reddens!" and never looked back.
Eating: He still has phases of not being best friends with is his bottle, but boy is he more interested in table food. Right now he enjoys clementines, strawberries, peas, pizza, bananas, crackers, and cheese.
New skills: He's mimicking now and its pretty cute. I showed him how to run the car across the arms of the chair and get did just that. He's also mimicking our sounds and we'll have grunting wars :). He's starting to try to repeat certain words too.
Luke started giving high fives and kisses to us and I'm really OK with drool all over my face.
This month we've also seen that he will let you know if he's in need of something or isn't pleased with what's happening with a high pitched scream when he wants something done.
Thankfully, so far, he's pretty obedient. He gets into everything, but he listens to us most of the time.
He's standing on is own but hasn't taken that first step yet.
He adores the walker Nana and Granddaddy gave him! He will push it around and he is SO proud when he doesn't fall down. Its priceless.
