Ten months have flown by. We'll have a 1 year old in just 2 months and I'm sure walking will not be too far away. He's already standing on his own for about 4-5 seconds. This month with him has been alot of fun. We have seen him learn so much and have seen even more of his personality. He has started being shy around people at church and will hide his face in our shirt. But once he's comfortable, he opens up and welcomes the attention.
A few 10 month facts:
- He's eating solids 3 times per day. His favorite by far is still peas. Just the other day he clapped and giggled after almost every bite I gave him. Give this boy some peas, and he'll be your friend for life.
- He enjoys finger foods and does well with feeding himself. He's really taken to yogurt, oranges, and blueberries this month. We've also started whole wheat cereal for dinner.
- Still taking 2 daytime naps and sleeps from 8pm - 8/8:30am. He's going through a phase of not sleeping well at other people's houses, but did well just recently at Mimi's house.
- Says Dada, Mama, and will sometimes say his own verson of "please" before a meal. It sounds more like "eeas". We think he associates Dada with David now. I'll ask Caleb: "Where's dada"? And he'll start looking for him and actually go stand by the front door and wait for him.
- As I mentioned from the earlier posts, he's clapping and waving, and even waves to me in the morning and throughout the day. He's also started a few more cute things, of which I'm hoping to catch on video.
- One favorite thing I love: he will pick a book over any toy. If he's cranky, just pull out a book. He LOVES being read to. Just today, he started making a car sound from one of the books I read to him.
He's also very facinated with doors now. He could spend all day moving our doors back and forth.
Not sure if you can tell from the picture, but he's been working on 2 more bottom teeth. He now has 8 sharp pearly whites.
