Harvest Breakfast Braid Recipe

So I've found a easy and delicious recipe to add to our holiday dinner/breakfast table. Its fun to make, is great for a fancier holiday meal, and is kid and husband approved! I originally found the recipe here.




Here's what you'll need:

pizza dough, cooked sausage crumbles,
6 slices of havarti cheese(its so creamy!)
pecans, dried cranberries,
orange marmalade (o so sweet!)
one granny smith apple

 Line your baking pan with parchment paper and unroll the dough close the edges of the pan.

 Next, spread 1/3 cup of the sweet marmalade down the center.

 Top the marmalade with some good ol' apple slices.

 Next add half the cheese. You could also use brie or swiss here.

 Top with the cooked sausage crumbles.

 Add the rest of the cheese.

 Sprinkle cheese with pecans and cranberries.

 Next cut the dough into 1-inch strips along the sides.

Fold the strips diagonally over filling (stretching the dough if needed). And it looks lika so.

Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.

 Remove from oven and spread remaning 1/3 cup orange marmalade over the top and sides, and then sprinkle with more cranberries and pecans. Bake an additional 10 - 15 minutes until golden brown. 

 SO easy and delicious!
