Luke turns 8 months

Luke turned 8 months a week ago! This month has been fun for sure - lots of pulling up and solids!

It was definitely more difficult to get his sitting picture this month. He isn't a huge fan of sitting unless he's really interested in something right in front of him. All he wanted to do was crawl and tear off that sticker :)

And there he goes...!
He's able to go from a crawling to sitting very easily now.

You can't tell in this cute picture, but he's sporting 4 teeth now - two on top and two on the bottom.

Luke is still sleeping like a champ. He's taking 2 naps and one optional cat nap (in the evening) and is sleeping 11 - 12 hours at night.

He's still the sweet, happy little guy that we just adore. He is still able to say Dada and Nana and has learned to scream when he's happy and when he's sad. And its LOUD!

He also started to clap this month - mostly on the changing table.

This month we finally got him to eat solids and LOVE it! The trick to get him to eat any kind of solid was to warm it. Go figure! Everything we have given him he gobbles up and kicks his feet and screams in excitement when he sees me open the pantry door. He's taking his bottle pretty well most of the time, but solids are his new best friend.

This sight just made my week. I let Caleb feed him solids for the first time and Luke just about tipped over in excitement! No joke people - he giggled and laughed before and after every single bite Caleb gave him. My heart melted.

He also loves it when Jacob feeds him too! Looks like we've got some handy little helpers around!

So far his favorites are cereal, bananas mixed with other fruits, peaches, and carrots.

Here he is pulling up to standing for the first time (left). We can already tell he's determined and busy - he lives for crawling and standing! He also just discovered the stairs. We all sat down on the bottom stair when we got home from preschool and after just a few seconds of putting him down this is what he does.

Luke still loves brothers' toys most of all!
